Once upon a time, locked in a room where human contact was reduced to a screen and public outings required security passes and masks, the streets lay sparse and silent. Workloads only multiplied, yet I remained bound to a 1.5-square-meter home office. The coffee was exceptional, the sound system tuned to perfection, and the commute reduced to mere seconds—but the air was heavy with change.
As pandemic deniers mocked remote work and pushed for a forced return to the office, I received terrible news—friends gone within hours. Others, lost in tragic accidents, were only discovered through posts of those saying we miss you. Family members faced serious cancer diagnoses, and we had no chance to travel and help.
There are no words to truly capture such loss and deep feelings.
