When the rave scene emerged, Detroit Techno became a defining influence, leading him to Toronto in 1993, where he became integral to the city’s legendary warehouse parties.
Shamus’s commitment to the science of sound underpins his creative identity and production style, using a blend of analog synthesizers, modulars, drum machines, and hybrid analog/digital recording techniques.
